You start at 6:30 a.m. beneath the STRAT tower, the desert still dark and cool enough for arm sleeves, and within a few miles you are running down the Strip while the casino signs are still lit and the sidewalks are nearly empty. The course loops back to the STRAT after taking in the Fremont Street canopy and the quiet, cottonwood-lined paths of Springs Preserve. FindMyMarathon logs about 490 feet of gain, so expect gentle rollers rather than a pancake, and plan around a 6-hour-33-minute cutoff. Pace groups run Boston-qualifying times from 3:05 to 3:50, and roughly one in ten finishers hit a BQ in 2025. One caution: in 2025 organizers shifted the race to Mt. Charleston at short notice, so read pre-race emails closely. The 2027 edition moves to January 10, earlier than the February dates used before.
