Few American marathons tour a city like this one. You start at Dodger Stadium at 7 a.m., drop into downtown past the Walt Disney Concert Hall, then head west through Echo Park and Hollywood, where the Capitol Records tower and the Hollywood sign mark the way. Sunset Boulevard, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and Brentwood follow before the finish on Avenue of the Stars in Century City. The course is net downhill but rolling, with roughly 940 feet of gain, a steep climb near mile four and an out-and-back in the last eight miles that most runners call the hard part. With more than 21,000 finishers in 2026, you will never run alone. Bring sun protection, respect the March warmth, and note the 6 hour 30 minute limit measured from the last starter.
