You start at 8th and Broadway at 7:20 on a Saturday morning and run straight past Broadway's honky-tonks before the city is fully awake. The course is a tour of Music City: Music Row past Dolly Parton's recording studio, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and The Gulch. Do not let the party atmosphere fool you about the terrain. This is a hilly, point-to-point route with roughly 1,088 feet of climb and 1,163 feet of descent, and fewer than two percent of finishers hit a Boston time here, so run it for the experience rather than a personal best. The six-hour limit is comfortable if you walk the steeper rises. Around 3,200 people finished the marathon in 2026, with a much larger half-marathon crowd beside you for the early miles. The finish is inside Nissan Stadium, which is a fair reward.
